Bicycles in Rwanda
The word Kigali is usually pronounced with an accent on "a" and therefore perfectly rhymes with pedals. And there are a lot of bicycles in Rwanda. This is despite the fact that on the local hills on bikes you can’t really travel in places.

A bicycle is not a motorcycle. And since there are plenty of motorcycle taxis, why not be a bicycle taxi. And they are. Such a taxi, of course, is not a taxi, it will not be lucky, but it may well be in the area, and a huge bunch of bananas from the market on a large trunk is just right. Or from the bus stop to the house to get there.
In the villages, boys often earn extra money with this, it’s a ride on a bike and earn a pretty penny. And they tune their bikes, just like our children in the villages do. And they usually paint it in afro colors, that is, under a traffic light. And they glue Che Guevara and Bob Marley on them.
And if a bicycle taxi driver has money, then he can buy a motorcycle and move to a higher leve Bicycles in Rwanda l, that is, become a motorcycle taxi driver. And also draw Bob Marley and Che Guevara on your motorcycle. But I will talk about Rwandan motorcycle taxis another time. And motorcycle taxi drivers usually still become not “from below”, but “from above”, when a person with money buys a motorcycle and hires a motor driver.
But in neighboring Burundi, there are much more bicycles and bicycle taxis than in Rwanda, and fewer motorcycles. But in Bujumbura there are more ordinary taxis, automobiles.
In the meantime, the motorcycle has not yet been bought, I will say this:
Come on my friend
Spin the pedals faster
We're going to Kigali!
